The Kyiv Forum for Equal Rights and Opportunities "Strength in Equality" aims to set the agenda for the capital, which has committed to using its powers and partnerships to achieve greater equality for its citizens. The Forum has been held annually since 2019.
June 18, 2019 – the main topic of the 1st Kyiv Forum for Equal Rights and Opportunities: "Social Rights as a Mechanism for Developing Gender-Balanced Human Capital." During the Forum, key areas of state policy concerning social rights in all spheres were discussed, including gender parity, implementation of government initiatives, and the importance of integrated public and international partner participation in the process. Over 300 participants from international organizations, NGOs, government officials, and businesses attended the Forum.
September 3, 2020 – the main topic of the 2nd Kyiv Forum for Equal Rights and Opportunities: "The European Charter for Equality: A Roadmap for Kyiv." Forum participants discussed the opportunities the European Charter for Equality opens for Kyiv, how to assess the city’s capacity to combat gender-based violence, and how to respond to challenges related to the coronavirus crisis. The Forum was attended by 400 representatives from non-governmental and international organizations.
September 10, 2021 – the main topic of the 3rd Kyiv Forum for Equal Rights and Opportunities: "Leadership and Partnership in Public Administration: Challenges, Solutions, Changes." The Forum took place online, where participants discussed the importance of developing women's managerial potential and career growth, as well as gender parity in public administration. The Forum was broadcast live on the "Kyiv" TV channel, reaching over 1,200 participants.
