The Hairdressing Mastery Course by L’Oréal Ukraine and the UN Population Fund in Ukraine has been running for the ninth consecutive season to support women who have suffered from violence or found themselves in difficult circumstances due to the war. The course provides free education in the beauty industry. Often, economic dependence on a partner is the key reason that prevents a woman from breaking the cycle of violence. Acquiring a new profession enables women to earn a stable income, boosts their confidence, and motivates them to change their lives for the better.

The course aims to teach women the basics of coloring and provide them with the opportunity to gain a new profession, with the potential to find work in the future. Over four months, participants are trained by highly qualified instructors and the best salon business professionals. The course ensures that all students acquire the skills needed to begin working in the beauty industry.

In 2023, the program was expanded to include a makeup course. In just two seasons, 38 women facing difficult life situations completed this specially designed two-month course in makeup artistry.

In 2024, the "Beauty for All" program was further expanded to include psychology sessions aimed at improving participants' mental health, as well as classes with VONA Hub project experts on personal branding on social media, creating portfolios, and CVs. These sessions will help graduates develop the necessary skills to easily begin their careers in the beauty industry.

Over the course of nine seasons, 268 women have mastered the profession of hairdressing, with the majority already working in the field.

In Kyiv, the program is implemented in the classrooms of the Kyiv Vocational College of Applied Sciences, thanks to the initiative of the Gender Equality Department and the support of the Department of Education and Science of Kyiv City State Administration, with the comprehensive backing of the College's Director Anna Shchutskaya.
