Even before the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian Women’s Guard (UWG) initiated a series of training sessions for women on urban survival in the event of potential hostilities, technological disasters, or natural catastrophes.
The training program is quite intensive and lasts from 4 to 6 hours, covering the following topics:
- self-defense and personal protection;
- medical and transport survival;
- food preparation;
- heating in the shelter;
- storage and concealment of belongings;
- hygiene essentials.
Since its inception in 2014, Ukrainian Women’s Guard has united thousands of women, directing their efforts toward strengthening Ukraine’s security and defense capabilities. Over the years, the organization has become a platform for developing women’s leadership, providing practical skills, and enhancing the roles of women in both military and civil spheres.
Projects Implemented by UWG: security and defense training, psychological support, preparation for military service, educational programs for communities, "Women Against Violence" initiative.
